Fierce food and PR Photos for Stevie K.

One of the very best part of having our own talk show is the places we are invited to. This weekend we were spotted at Oceano’s in the Peppermill Casino, here in Reno. In this blog I want to share with you our fantastic experiences with this local restaurant.

The restaurant was incredibly busy on our first visit, but we managed to struggle through the wait with a cocktail and a bowl of hot, sourdough bread with tiny bowl full of pats of butter. (Why they call it a “Pat of butter” I will never know) Anyhoo, our visit with Tony Vail, GM of the Meadowood Mall, and his lovely wife Cate, PR Photographer, went better than anyone could have expected. After all, how many dinners do you attend and get invited to shop in her personal closet? The decor was fabulous, the conversation was wonderful and the food, well… it was pretty tasty.

I ordered one of my all time favorite meals, SUSHI and Kevin ordered New York Strip steak. While I paid special attention to ordering with NOOO avocado, as I am violently allergic to it, they brought my James roll full of it and then, unfortunately I found the consistency to be something close to sticks wrapped in rice and seaweed. My Spider Roll was PERFECT and Kevin said he really enjoyed his rather large, perfectly cooked piece of beef.

All in all the dinner at Oceanos was a hit with our perfect party of five. The food was good, the service was as good as it could be with the traffic they had that night and the backdrop for our pictures was nothing short of magnificent. One final tip, I want to offer all of you ladies out there, you want to make sure to park on the North side of the Casino, the walk in four-inch heels can be painful on the way back!

Stevie to meet “Encino Man” tonight in Reno!

I woke up this morning with the last thoughts that were on my mind.. I’M IN RENO!! While we have encountered our fair share of learning experiences, we have had our lions share of fun too! Tonight, actor & comedian Pauly Shore will be playing to his fans here in Reno at the Grand Sierra.

Following that meeting, the team will head on over to the Peppermill, one of my favorite places in Reno, to have dinner and then take in some terrific people watching and listening to one of the best DJ’s at “Club Edge”. The women all dress to the nines, including their 9″ heels, and the men .. well all I need to say is.. If I was a single lady, this is where I would want to take inventory. Beautiful people, great music and well poured Vodka Crans flowing into the early morning hours.
